An Ode to a Wonderful Woman on her Birthday

T'was like it was just yesterday that we first met,

How our eyes passed each other not knowing yet,

What the future held for us in the many years to come.

Barely did we know but from God our hearts were revealed

To have an insight, a foresight, a vision of a love that so healed

A longing of wanting to have and to hold from days of old. 

As we lived in His love we learned how to grow

With our hearts apart yet so much did it show

How we took His Service to another level above and not below.

We found a space and a cause not just in the Divine

But we fought for it and now 'tis yours and mine.

A love I cherish because of one being

Whose love in return that is becoming

So much a part of me that I cannot whine

Anymore of a lost self but with one look I learned how to shine.

Beyond my rocky paths I dared not go,

But with your love I always found ways to show,

Harder than I've tried, than I ever did before,

Our friendship has brought me to places I had yet to explore

Thank you so much babe that I never knew

You would be the one who would be so ever young at heart so ever new

That as we faced life free spirited together our love grew even deeper

Not just in ourselves or for the others but also in our Lord and Redeemer

People will not always see the trials and struggles we have within

But with you by my side we together can and always will win

We cannot give up just yet or even at all

When the Father gave us a love and a strength that is tall

Taller and wider than the world will ever know

As ins and as outs it will always be, 

But your birthday always has brought me indescribable glee

Dear Meanne,

I don't know what to say...

But I know I have a lot of things to say to you. (labo)

First, let me thank you for everything. We've been together for, 7 years? i guess, but I rarely tell you how grateful I am for having you as a friend, sister, kumare, lahat na. Thank you, thank you. you've seen me in my ups and downs, you've been there in my most happiest moments, and I really appreciate that you're always part of everything na nangyayari sa buhay ko. you remember when we were in college? we were always seatmates at lagi natin sinasabi na sawa na tayo makatabi ang isa't isa. nung nag-work na tayo, (un)fortunately, seatmates na naman tayo. haha! but you see, only few people are given that kind of chance, na maging malapit lang lagi sa mga taong sobrang pinagkakatiwalaan mo. i really treasure those moments na kasama ko kayo, especially those Writers days. andun yung super daming challenges eh. dun sobrang feeling ko sinubukan tayo and look at us now...we're still alive and kicking. : )

and now that i'm married, now that I have my own family, I'm really thankful that I still have those people, few people, na sobrang nakikisaya sa mga nangyayari sa buhay ko. at syempre kasama ka dun, kayo ni anthony. so thank you din for sharing everything to us, yung success mo, achievements, lahat. I'm really looking forward sa mga darating pa sayo. and hindi man tayo lagi nagkikita o nagkakakwentuhan, i assure you, i'm still one of your best friends.

I really admire you for that. At saka yung pagiging mahinahon mo sa pagharap sa mga bagay bagay.

That's why nag-absent ako noong 1st year ako sa Algebra class ko para lang sa 1-to-1s mo.(1st time kong mag-cut non)

Remember that? Sa OZ carpark pa tayo non.

Kasi hangang hanga ako sa iyo noon, para kang anghel na sobrang bait at masiyahin.

But then, after that. Ano ng napala ko? 

Mas lalo kitang nakilala. Mas lalo akong na-elibs sa strong personality mo.

Salamat sa mga magagandang alaala at messages na binigay mo sa akin ah.

Ngayong tumanda ka na muli, dalangin ko ang lahat ng magagandang maaring ibigay sa iyo ni Lord.

Marthina told me it is your birthday, and as you know, she is often cooking up little surprises especially for people valuable to her. I can see why you are so dear to her. I think you are a wonderful person. She shared some stories about you (But do not worry, no chismis! Hehe!). Thank you for being a good friend. I know you two will remain friends forever. Praying that God would give the desires of your heart in His time. God really blesses his children. More and more birthdays to come! Enjoy your special day!  =) 

Party poppers' Bang!

Hey, sis! Remember last Nov. 13, you asked me about my surprise gift to you and then I was confident (ehem! ehem!) to tell you that I already have one. This plan was already working in my mind. It's in our core to write and to read, eversince. Remember our publish-a-book stories inside the chapel? Haha. Maybe, God is slowly waving it to happen, we just have to be focus on that dream.

Thank you for understanding and remaining loyal to me. Ahh, we talk about alot of nonsense and sensible things and those are treasured in my heart. We may be sometimes distant to each other, but our prayers connect us.

God knows that you're the best!:) Bestfriend to me, Best daughter to your mom, Best sister in YFC, SFC and your Caring group, Best girlfriend to Anthony, Best Actress to Pao (remember? hahaha), Best IBMer, Best Communication student - even isa-isahin ko, saulo't nasa puso mo kung san ka malakas! Always stick into your core and beliefs, and it won't mislead you.

As the adage goes, our friendship is like a fiddler, the older it gets, the sweeter the tune.

I'm looking forward for more of our shared experiences, learnings, silences, laughters and stories. Someday, we'll inspire children and even adults  as we'll use completely our God-given talent. (wink!)
